RINK DIRECTIONS

VERMONT

 

Barre, Municipal Rink                      1 Hr.

I-89 North to Exit 7.  Follow long exit ramp down to center of Barre.  (RT302/Main Street).  Go straight through set of lights.  Take 1st road on the right (Summer Street).  Go about 500 yards, take 1st left onto Seminary Hill (just before St. Monica’s Church).  Rink is at top of hill.

 

Brattleboro, Memorial Rink             1 1/4 Hrs.

I-91 South to Exit 2.  Go right.  Go about 1/4 mile then turn left through covered bridge.  First right to Memorial Rink up hill.

 

Burlington, Leddy Park                                 2 Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 14 West in Burlington.  Take Route 2 West past UVM and down hill through downtown Burlington.  Turn right near lake onto Battery Street.  Go up hill around Battery Park, and take an easy left onto North Street.  Go about 2 1/2 miles.  Just before the Ethan Allen Shopping Center (on left) is Leddy Park Road, as well as a sign to Leddy Park.

 

CVSA, Civic Center                           1 1/4 Hrs.

I-89 to Exit 7.  Go through 3 sets of lights, then take right to Montpelier.  At bottom of hill take a left at the Barre/Montpelier Road.  (Walker Imports will be on your left).  Go until you come to Jct. Of Rt. 14 and Rt. 2.  Take a right onto Rt. 2, go about 1000 feet, take left onto Gallison Hill Road.  Rink is several hundred yards on the left.

 

CSB - Chittendon So. Burlington, Cairns Rink        1 3/4 Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 14 East in Burlington.  Take 1st right onto Dorsett Street.  Go about 1 mile or so.  Rink is on the left.

 

Essex Junction, High School Rink                1 3/4 Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 12.  Turn right on 2A (north-east).  Go about 3 1/2 miles, through 5 corner intersection.  Go past post office then take 3rd right on North Ave.  Cross railroad tracks and take immediate left, then 1st right.  Rink is on left.

 

Lyndonville                             1 1/2 Hrs.

I-91 North to Exit 23.  Go right off exit, then take immediate left at Camelot Trailers onto Back Center Road.  Go 1 1/4 miles to stop sign.  take left to Lyndon Institute.  At cement block in road, take left.  Go a few hundred yards, and turn left into the rink.

 

Manchester, Riley Rink                    1-1/2 hours

Take I-91 south to Exit 7 Springfield. Take Route 11 all the way to its end in Manchester (stop light), Hand Motors is across the street. Turn right, follow 7A thru town. About 1 mile out of town, pass Jerry D's Dairy Bar (on left). Take second left, Hunter Park Road; follow signs to Riley Rink.


Missisquoi, Highgate                         2 1/2  Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 21 (Swanton/Highgate Exit).  Off ramp take right straight into Highgate.  In Highgate you will come to a Y.  Take a left at the Y across from the Mobile Station and 207/235 Gore Road sign.  Rink is a short distance down on the left.

 

Northfield, Norwich University                     1 Hr.

I-89 North to Exit 5.  Turn left (West) and go down hill, bear right onto Route 12 toward Northfield.  Watch for Norwich University on your left.  Turn left onto campus at the library.  Rink is way back off the road.

 

Rutland, Mandigo Arena                   1 1/2 Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 1.  Take Route 4 West through Woodstock to Rutland.  Turn left (South) on Route 7.  Turn right just past fairgrounds to rink.

 

Rutland, Rutland Regional Fieldhouse                     1 1/2 Hrs.

Located at the Diamond Run Mall, Rt-7 South in Rutland, Vermont.  Take Rt-4 West. Turn left at Rt-7 S (Rt-7 and Rt-4 are the same for several miles). The entrance to the mall is at the intersection of Rt-7 and Rt-4 W. Turn left to enter the mall. Proceed a short distance to the road that circles the mall and turn left. Proceed approx. 0.4 mile around the north end of the mall to the arena on the left.

 

PVA, Vermont Academy                   1 1/4 Hrs.

I-91 South to Exit 6 (Rockingham/Bellows Falls).  Turn left off exit onto Route 103 West.  Go about 3 miles.  Just past Industrial park, turn left onto un-named road.  Go about 5 miles into Saxton’s River.  Turn left at sign for Vermont Academy.  Left again at campus.  Go up hill.  Rink is on North side of campus, behind field house.                       

 

St. Albans, Collins-Perley Rink                    2 1/4 Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 19.  Turn left off exit, go back over highway, and take 1st left at light.  Rink is on your right a few hundred yards down.

 

Stowe                                                  1 1/2 Hrs.

I-89 North to Exit 10 (Waterbury-Stowe).  Take Route 100 about 10 miles into Stowe Village.  Go through 3 way stop, then take 3rd right onto Park Street.  Go 2 blocks eo end of road and turn left.  Stay to the right, and look for rink – 1/4 mile at top.

 

Waterbury (Harwood) 1 1/4 Hrs

Directions:  I-89 North to Exit 10, at end of ramp turn left onto VT-100 South.  At intersection turn left onto US-2 East, go 1 mile and bear left onto River Road.  Rink is at the end of the road.

 

Woodstock (NEW)                             1/2 Hr.

Route 4 West to Woodstock.  At center of town you will see the town park on left.  Go straight at park and take right across bridge, follow main road until you come to Woodstock High School on left.  Rink is to the right of the Woodstock High School parking lot.

Back Bay › Pop Whalen Arena

2 hours

  • I-89 South to I-93 North to I-393/Rt 4 East.
  • At Epsom traffic circle get on Rt. 28 North.
  • Proceed on 28 to Wolfeboro. Look for Brewster Academy (on left) then turn right at blinking yellow light. (Mobil station on right).
  • Go about 1/4 mile and go left at fork onto Rte. 109A.
  • Rink about 2 miles on the left.

(Can go Rt. 25 from Plymouth, Right on 109 @ Moultonboro; not recommended during frost heave season!!!)

Berlin › Notre Dame Arena

  • I-91 North to I-93 South.
  • Get Off I-93 at 1st exit. Turn left and go down hill to Rte. 2
  • Turn right (East) on Rte. 2. Take Rte. 2 to Gorham, NH.
  • Turn left onto Rte. 16 and go North into Berlin, Bear left at fork in road in downtown Berlin onto Green St.
  • Go to end and turn right onto Second Ave. Rink is on the left.

(Can also take I-93 south to Exit 40; east on Rt. 302 to Twin Mt.; take a left for Rt. 3 north; then right on Rt. 115 which brings you onto Rte. 2 in Jefferson)

Cardigan Mountain School

Less than 1 hour

  • Take Rte. 4 through Enfield, stay on it past Mascoma Regional High School (on your left).
  • About 2-1/2 to 3 miles, keep a sharp eye out for Roberts Road, an abrupt left.
  • Stay on Roberts Road to the end. You will come out at a church (on left) and take a left on Canaan St. Lake Rd.
  • Bear right about a half mile at the sign for Cardigan Mtn. School.
  • Go past the main school buildings and down a hill, watching for a right turn to the athletic complex.
  • Rink is not visible, but keep going to the end.

Concord › Everett Arena

1 hour

  • I-89 South to I-93 North into Concord.
  • Take Exit 14 and turn right, Go across river and turn left almost immediately into arena.

Dover › Dover Rink

  • I-89 South to I-93 North. Take Exit 15 onto I-393 East/Rt 4.
  • Stay on Rte. 4 to Rte.155. (about 40 miles; just east of Lee Traffic Circle).
  • Take exit and turn left on Rte. 155 and follow into downtown Dover (Rte 155 turns into Silver Street).
  • At the end of Silver Street, take a left at the traffic light and continue straight ( Dover City Hall will be on your left and the road becomes one way in your direction).
  • About 1/4 mile after it becomes 1-way, take sharp left onto Main St., then immediate right onto Portland Ave.
  • Go 1/8 mile and bear left at fork (still Portland Ave). Go up hill.
  • From beginning of hill the rink is 1 mile on the left.

Exeter (NH East) › Phillips-Exeter Academy

2 hours

  • I-89 South to I-93 South.
  • Stay on I-93 after toll and exit left onto Rte. 101 east (exit 7).
  • Take Rte. 101 about 25 miles to Exit 9.
  • Turn right onto Rte. 27 east.
  • Pass the Rinks at Exeter and go about 1.5 miles into the center of town.
  • Turn right at the bandstand, then take the first left at the top of the short hill.
  • In less that 1/2 mile you will see the academy athletic facilities on the left. Turn left between tennis courts and the gym. Rinks are on the right, behind and attached to the gym.

Henniker NE College

1 hour

  • I-89 south to Exit 6, take a right onto Rt 127.
  • Follow this road until the intersection with Rte. 202/9 West. Take a right and go to Henniker exit and Rte 114.
  • Go left off exit into downtown Henniker. Go another 1/4 mile across river and up hill, then turn right past library. (Note: this is an easy turn to miss!)
  • Rink is located far behind the field house.

Alternate directions: I-89 South to Exit 10. Take Rte. 114 South to Rte. 202/9 overpass, continue down into town, same directions as above.

Henniker › St. Anselm's College

  • Take I-93 south to 293 south.
  • Follow through Manchester to Rte. 101 W.
  • Merge onto Rte. 114 W at a traffic light.
  • Once on Rte. 114, after a couple of miles, take a right at the third light onto St. Anselm Drive.
  • Follow for about one mile, the college will be on your right. Take the second entrance (not the one-way road) onto the college grounds.
  • Keep left at first intersection. Keep to the right of athletic fields to the Dana Center. Just beyond Dana Center, turn left and follow the back side of the buildings down to Sullivan Arena

Hooksett › Ice Den

1.5 hours

  • I-89 South to I-93 South.
  • Stay on I-93 after toll booth (not I-293) to exit 10.
  • Bear right at the end of the off ramp onto West River Rd (Route 3A). Take first right on Quality Drive to the last building on the left.

Keene › Cheshire Fair Grounds

1.5 hours

  • I-91 South to exit 5 (Westminster/Walpole).
  • Go left off exit, down hill to Rte. 5 South.
  • Turn right, go about 1 mile, bear left at general store, down hill and under railroad bridge, Cross over Connecticut River then turn right onto Rte. 12.
  • Take Rte 12 South into Keene, Go left at light when road ends at junction of Rte. 9.
  • Go to second traffic light and turn right onto Rte. 12 South.
  • Fairgrounds are 2.5 miles south on your right. Take second entrance into rink.

Kearsarge › Proctor Academy, Andover

45 minutes

  • I-89 south to exit 11. Go left off exit onto Rte. 11 East. Take Rte. 4 East to Andover.
  • Proctor Academy is on left in Andover. Athletic facilities are the first buildings you'll see. Turn left onto campus, Rink is behind fieldhouse

Lakes Region › New Hampton › New Hampton School

1.25 hours

  • I-89 south to Exit 17.
  • Take Rte. 4 to Danbury, Turn east onto Rte. 104 to Bristol.
  • Continue 3-4 more miles. Pass Newfound Regional High School on your left then cross river. After river turn right at blinking light next to fire station. This road goes to New Hampton.
  • About 1/4 mile past the center of town go left at the church. Go 200-300 yards and turn left onto Dr. Childs Rd. to rink.

Lakes Region › Laconia › Laconia Ice Arena

  • I-89 south to Exit 11.
  • Take Rte. 11 (which becomes Rtes. 11/3) east through Andover, Franklin, Tilton (crossing over I-93) to Laconia.
  • Take Route 11A to downtown Laconia and at Main St. Laconia (Landmark Hotel) take Rte. 106 south to Rte. 107 junction. Left on Rte. 107, rink is on your left just after an underpass on Rte. 107.

Lebanon › Kimball Union Academy (Meriden)

20 minutes

Lebanon plays some games here and some at Campion.

  • Take Rte. 120 south to Meriden.
  • Turn right at blinking light to KUA. Take 1st right (a few hundred yards down road) and rink is on your right.

Manchester › West Side Rink

1.5 hours

  • I-89 south to I-93 south.
  • Take Rte. 3/293 into Manchester and get off at Exit 6 (Amoskeag Bridge exit). Go left off exit
  • Go 1/4 mile to blinking light. Turn right onto Bremer St.
  • Go 1 mile through residential area to end of road and turn left. The Rink is at the end of the road.

Manchester › JFK Arena

1.5 hours

  • I-89 south to I-93 south.
  • Take Rte. 3/293 into Manchester and get off at Queen City Bridge exit. Go right off exit, At second light turn right, go across bridge.
  • Go left at 2nd traffic light (Elm St.). Turn right on Valley St. (opposite Dunkin Donuts).
  • Go 2 lights to Maple St. (just after baseball stadium), Turn left onto Maple and left again just beyond stadium into rink.

Note: Maple is 1 way. When you leave the rink you'll have to turn left.

Mount Washington Valley › Ham Arena

  • Take Rte. I-89 to Exit 17, Rte. 4 east.
  • In Danbury, turn left onto Rte. 104.
  • Turn left at the McDonalds in Meredith.
  • Turn right at the light in downtown Meredith on to Rte. 25.
  • At the McDonalds in Ossipee, turn left onto Rte. 16 north.
  • At the Albany/Conway line turn right just after the Mobil/Dunkin Donuts on to West Main Street.
  • Ham Arena will be half mile down West Main St. on the right.

  • I-89 south to I-93 south.
  • Take Rte. 3/I-293 through Manchester to Everett Turnpike. Take Exit 5 W from Everett Turnpike in Nashua.
  • After you get off of the highway, about 200 yards, you will see the Nashua Police Deptartment on the right. Immediately after the police station, you will bear right. At end of the road, go straight across to the rink.

Nashua › Cushing Academy

  • Follow directions to Keene
  • Continue south on Rte. 12 to Ashburnham, MA.
  • After blinking yellow light, go 0.6 miles, then turn right into Cushing Academy as you go down hill - rink is at top of hill.

  • I-89 south to I-93 south.
  • Take Rte. 3/I-293 through Manchester to Everett Turnpike. Go south on Turnpike to Exit 1 (Spit Brook Rd).
  • Go left off exit, proceed 1/2 mile to Rte. 3A. Turn right (south) onto 3A. Go about 1 1/2 miles, Skate 3 is on your left.

Oyster River, Durham

  • I-89 South to I-93 North.
  • Take Exit 15 onto I-393 East/Rt 4. Stay on Rte. 4 to Rte.108 (about 40 miles).
  • Take exit and turn right, then take first left to Rink.

  • Stay on I-93 after toll and exit left onto Rte. 101 east.
  • Get on 101 and take exit for Rt 27. Take a right at the end of the exit and follow for approximately 2 miles.
  • Sign for rink is on your left opposite an auto dealership. Take a left and then turn left into rink parking area.
